Enjoy a two or three-night camping trip at Gorges State Park located in southwest North Carolina. Spend time camping, hiking, and campfire time with fellow RSOC campers. Just outside Sapphire, North Carolina, near the corner of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, and about five hours from Raleigh — Gorges is gorgeous!
The camping area was opened in 2022 and is one of the nicest state park facilities you've seen! Tent and RV sites and a few cabins are available.
Arrive on Thursday, October 10, or Friday the 11th and stay until Sunday. We'll have a potluck Friday evening.
Travel, tent, food, and camping needs are the responsibility of each camper. Carpooling is encouraged.

Reservations will open on April 10, so book early to guarantee that you get a spot. These are all individual sites and each member will book their own at https://northcarolinastateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/gorges-state-park/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NC&parkId=552865#sr_a.
Be sure to communicate your interest with the Coordinator before the April 10 date in order to receive an e-mail reminder on April 9 to register for a site.
PLEASE NOTE: On a previous trip to Gorges, our group stayed in a cluster of campsites, numbers 5 through 16. Before you reserve, please contact the Coordinator so he can let you know where our group will be focused this year.
Cost: Price of campsite is to be paid directly to the Gorges State Park reservation system ($23/night for tent camping, $33/night for RV, and $75/night for cabin). Also a $3 RSOC administrative fee will need to be paid to the Coordinator.
Available openings: until all campsites are booked. Please note that spots are open to the public and may sell out.
