Let’s explore this 158–acre park as we hike through meadows and woods. The hike will take about an hour and a half. For the start of the hike, we will walk through a wide grassy path (see photo above). Then we’ll enter the woods where the trail narrows. After that, we’ll cross a high bridge that goes over a stream. This leads us to the mountains-to-sea trail that follows a creek and leads to a lake.
After the hike, we’ll meet by the picnic tables in the shelter for a snack and social. It’ll be a little late for lunch, and a little early for dinner, so enjoy a mid-afternoon snack with fellow RSOCers. The Coordinator will check if coolers can be stored in the park office while we hike.
E-mail the Coordinator if you will be attending so updates, rescheduling, or cancelations can be given. We may have to reschedule or cancel due to weather. (If the weather doesn’t cooperate, maybe a movie matinee can be an option.)
