Every year, the Angus Barn in Raleigh organizes the Walk for Hope to raise funds for mental health research. This is an incredibly inspiring event in which 5,000 or more participants show up on an October morning to run or walk 5k round trip from the Angus Barn through John Umstead State Park in support of people and their families who are living with mental health problems. Festival activities will be take place at the Angus Barn upon returning from the walk.
